Iain Edmondson

Iain Edmondson

For 14 years, Iain played a key role in delivering a legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Initially as a member of the bid team and then as the Head of Major Events for London & Partners, where his role was to secure and manage long-term major event opportunities for London resulting in a positive impact on the city’s economy and citizens. This included leading business case development, bidding, activation and evaluation of sporting and cultural events, including over 20 major championships.

Iain is also a founding director, and now Honorary Member of the International Association of Event Hosts, and led work for the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations on the publication of Common Indicators for Measuring the Impact of Events.

Olga Correia

Dr Olga Correia

Olga is an experienced sport manager focusing on helping international major event hosts and event owners to assess the impacts of events. For over five years, as Business Manager of the International Association of Event Hosts, Olga has been contributing to international knowledge sharing on best practices in planning and hosting major events that benefit event stakeholders and host communities.

Olga is also a researcher who holds a PhD in Sport Business and Innovation from Loughborough University London and a master’s degree in sport management from Loughborough University.
