Winter World Masters Games 2024

The Winter World Masters Games Foundation Lombardy 2024 commissioned EHE consultants to conduct the impact assessment for the event that took place across nine host destinations in the north of Italy in January 2024. For that, EHE consultants collected data from the Local Organising Committee, local authorities, participants and spectators covering all five areas of impact – economic, image, social, sport and environment.

The event took place between the 11th and the 21st of January including competitions in more than a dozen winter snow and ice sports disciplines. The WWMG 2024 was an important event to the region that will also be one of the hosts of the Winter Olympic & Paralympic Games in 2026.

The work follows the International Master Games Association Impact Manual also produced by EHE and aligns with international best practice in measuring the impact of major events.
